Week 46

Enjoying Christmas with Elder Gonzalez

So happy!

Darling kids!

I had such a great time talking to you! It is really funny, because I had to think really hard about how to compliment things. I used, ''awesome'' a lot. Hahaha, that is funny, because I would just usually say, ESO! Us missionaries speak ‘Spanglisheqchi.'  So, we mix all the languages together. I had a hard time trying to just slap in the positive comment like, ''That is grand!!!'' or ''Wow, that is great!'' haha. I felt the great love you all had for me.

I am sooooo happy let me tell you a great random story. So, the morning after I talked to you all, (Sunday morning) we went out to pick up Carlos Yaat Caal for church, but he told us, “I will think about it still.” (NOOOOOO) So, on our way back to church we were bummed, because we now have to change his date for baptism. After we left, we were walking to church and a random man walks up to us and asked,''B'ar xik eere?'' (Where are you going?) We told this young man (Umberto Pop, 20 years of age) that we are going to church. We invited him to follow us and experience the great spirit in the church. He mentioned to us he was walking home from his work.  He said it was an hour walk. So, we told him, “Our church is right over this corner and come and see what we have to offer you.” He sat through all the meetings and invited us to his house this Tuesday!!!! Incredible!!! Yes, yes, yes!

What a great experience that was! We are still praying hard for Carlos Yaat Caal to progress and to conquer the challenges and temptations of
the adversary.  Also, that he may truly have the desires to follow Christ.

Sorry this letter may be short I am helping an elder learn how to write his family on the internet. He doesn’t know how a computer works….kind of like you mom haha just kidding!

I love you and I thank you all for you words and letters!!
